- The presented paper describes a development project for a formula 1 racing team which was performed at the laboratory for electrical drives and power electronics of the University of Applied Sciences in Offenburg. The kernel of that project was the simulation of an electrical machine with means of a load inverter and a passive filter, so that inverters from contractors could be tested easilyThe presented paper describes a development project for a formula 1 racing team which was performed at the laboratory for electrical drives and power electronics of the University of Applied Sciences in Offenburg. The kernel of that project was the simulation of an electrical machine with means of a load inverter and a passive filter, so that inverters from contractors could be tested easily without using a real test bench. The whole electrical drive, consisting of the real electrical machine and the inverter is part of a hybrid drive for a formula 1 racing car which is allowed to be used from the racing season 2009.…
