Parametric Modeling of Circular Electrodes for Capacitive Sensing

  • This work presents a parametric methodology for designing and evaluating circular electrode configurations in ca- pacitive sensing systems. The study combines analytical modeling of electrode overlap with quasi-static AC simulations to establish a quantitative relationship between geometry and measurable capacitance. The study combines analytical modeling of electrode overlap with quasi-static AC simulations to establish a quantitative relationship between geometry and measurable capacitance. A two-step workflow is implemented: first, a geo- metric model defines the analytical dependence of capacitance on electrode displacement; second, a Simulation model verifies and extends the analytical results under realistic boundary conditions. The approach enables systematic optimization of electrode density, spacing, and topology, providing a transferable framework for future additively manufactured capacitive sensor arrays.…zeige mehrzeige weniger
