For the evaluation of the simulation software, three robots from different manufacturers that fulfil the same task were simulated with the simulation software Visual Components and then tested in a real environment. A virtual PLC controlled robot production line was implemented for the virtual commissioning of a PLC using OPC UA communication. The result of this work is detailed training in the simulation software Visual Components, structured offline and online robot programming and thus evaluation of the simulation software using different robot kinematics. Evaluation of the data exchange between a PLC and the simulation software Visual Components.show moreshow less
